The Ringtone Converter installs over 100 sample ringtones 'ready to go', however you can use your own. Just search the net for a phrase like 'RTTTL jingle bells', then find the RTTTL code and paste it into the Ringtone Converter.
The Ringtone Converter is shareware, please help support its development by registering if you continue to use it.
If your phone is not listed, try using the Help menu - 'Check for Updates' option to make sure you have the latest copy of the software. If its still not supported let us know and we can add it!
If your phone is not listed, try a similar phone from the same manufacturer.
When you have text in the RTTTL box (the first big box), try pressing the 'Play' button to here the tune. This saves you time entering the tone onto your phone if you dont like it!
When entering the key sequence into your phone, simply press the keys in the sequence shown. Dont worry about what is appearing on your screen, it is not important.
Use the right mouse button on your mouse to cut, copy and paste.

Use the 'save current RTTTL to file' option in the File menu to save tones into the ringtones directory. Next time you start the Ringtone Converter your tones will appear in the 'Select Ringtone' dropdown box.

The Ringtone Converter supports both Nokia Composer and RTTTL formats for the input tones. Often sites have both, but they are not identical, so if the tone doesnt sound right first time, try the other version before looking elsewhere.
The most common problem people have when entering key sequences is that they try to get the phone to display what they are typing in. On the majority of handsets, what appears on the display will be nothing like you are typing - this is normal. the Ringtone Converter does all the work for you, so all you have to do is press the keys shown in the correct order and ignore the display!
If you find a ringtone plays too fast or slow on your phone, simply use the tempo option in the menu to fine tune it!
